Joshua Saltman is an entertainment executive, lawyer, and entrepreneur who serves as the Founder and CEO of County Festivals (https://countyfestivals.com/) and The Festival, a Broadway music festival held in Kingston, New York. The Festival brings together Broadway performers, musicians, and theater fans for a multi-day celebration of Broadway music and culture. Saltman launched the festival in 2026 after a long career in media, entertainment, and distribution law. Before founding The Festival, Saltman spent more than 17 years at The Walt Disney Company, where he held senior legal leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Chief Counsel for Disney from April 2025 to March 2026. Prior to that, he was Associate General Counsel for Disney Platform Distribution for approximately 12 years, leading the legal team supporting the distribution of Disney media and entertainment content, including television networks, streaming services, and studio content across the United States and Canada. Earlier in his career, Saltman held legal and business affairs positions at Disney, Verizon Media, and Scripps Networks. His professional background combines extensive experience in entertainment law, media distribution, business affairs, and executive leadership. In 2026, Saltman transitioned from Disney to pursue his passion for Broadway and live entertainment through The Festival. His first festival was held in Kingston, New York, from August 14–16, 2026, and featured a broad celebration of Broadway talent and music. With his experience in entertainment, media, and law, Saltman is focused on developing The Festival into a distinctive destination event for Broadway fans and performers.
